Montreal Drupal BBQ at Whisky Echo Bravo

This past Wednesday, Whisky Echo Bravo held the first ever Montreal Drupal BBQ at their office on the Lachine Canal. The event started off with four short presentations and then moved to a large canal-side terrasse for the BBQ portion of the evening.

Renaud Joubert started with an intro to Drush make, showing us how to put together a make file and demoing an installation of Drupal using Drush make.

David Lesieur from Whisky Echo Bravo talked about a feature he built recently allowing users to build a playlist for an HTML5 Audio player.

Logan Smyth from Evoling Web followed up with an intro to entities and how to create custom entities.

I (Suzanne Kennedy) did a short demo of some code we've written for Drupal 7 to extend the user interface options for help text with Beautytips and Fancybox.

The WEB team did a great job of setting up the BBQ and organizing the event. With summer almost coming to an end, we'll have to wait until DrupalCamp Montreal in September for our next community meet up.
