meet-up

This Wednesday, Whisky Echo Bravo held the first ever Montreal Drupal BBQ at their office on the Lachine Canal.

Montreal's March Drupal Meetup was held this past Wednesday at Notman House, a co-working space and hub for entrepreneurship and tech innovation in Montreal. I think the exciting new venue was at least partly responsible for the fantastic turnout of 28 Drupal enthusiasts.

This year at DrupalCon, the Drupal Association organized a CxO event for owners of Drupal-based businesses. The event provided talks by four business experts who discussed business strategy, leadership, HR, and finance. The event also gave attendees a chance to connect and network specifically with other Drupal business owners.

The Montreal Drupal community came out in full force earlier this week for our first meetup of the year. In addition to the familiar faces from Whisky Echo Bravo, McGill University, Espeo and other companies, were some newer members like Ryan Weal and Geoff Brown. On the agenda was Drupal7 and other projects that people had worked on since our last meeting.

In this first blog posting, I would like to graciously thank each of my fellow members for making me feel welcomed into their team so quickly.

On August 3rd, Evolving Web was in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and we had the chance to attend PEI's first Drupal Meet-Up.

Since I started working at Evolving Web, it seems like every other client I talk to wants a collaborative project management tool. So, all of us in the office were really excited to see what Development Seed's been up to with Open Atrium.

Evolving Web has had the pleasure of taking on three talented interns from McGill University this summer. Logan, Daniele, and David have thrown themselves into Drupal with enthusiasm.

Evolving Web hosted a 5 à 7 style Drupal meet-up yesterday evening at our office. It was nice to see so many enthusiastic people coming out after a busy Drupal Camp weekend in Montreal.
