Drupalcon

After DrupalCon London, I was sitting on the banks of the Thames river sipping champagne when I remembered the time I told my friend I was joining the co-op program at Concordia. He launched into a story about his own co-op experience. One day, he had to do "pen testing".

Its often been said that the best way to get involved in the Drupal community is to dive in head-first and see where to help out. For the past year or so I’ve been nervous about giving my input on support forums and editing documentation. Always questioning my knowledge, I took the easy route by encouraging others to do so first. DrupalCon London was the first time I participated in a code sprint (well, documentation sprint), and I have to say that I’m a believer!

This year at DrupalCon, the Drupal Association organized a CxO event for owners of Drupal-based businesses. The event provided talks by four business experts who discussed business strategy, leadership, HR, and finance. The event also gave attendees a chance to connect and network specifically with other Drupal business owners.

DrupalCon offers lots of opportunities to learn about trends, new ideas, and new technology in the Drupal sphere. Here's a short list of the sessions from DrupalCon Chicago that we were most excited about.

Jeff and I are proposing a session for DrupalCon Copenhagen. At DrupalCon San Francisco, I was struck by how many people had questions about high performance Drupal. Many of them were thinking of moving to the cloud.
